Frequently Asked Questions 

Q: What sizes are shipping containers available in? 

A: Shipping containers are built in a variety of sizes, starting with 10'. Other, more popular options are 20', 40', 45' and 53'. Custom size containers can be manufactured for an additional fee. Each container is 8' wide and includes one set of cargo doors. They can be standard or high-cube meaning 8'6" high for standard and 9'6" high for high-cube.

Q: How can I prepare for delivery? 

A: We deliver all of our containers on tilt-bed trailers. For delivery we require 80' of clearance for a 20' container and 100' of clearance for a 40' container and 110' of clearance for a 45' container. Depending on the location, we may enlist in third-party drivers to deliver using a tow-truck or semi. Please find instructions on how to prepare for delivery HERE

Q: What does one-trip mean?

A: One-trip means the container was shipped overseas with cargo one time and sold as is from a container depot. These are considered new containers and are typically between 1-3 years old.

Q: What does cargo worthy mean?

A: Cargo Worthy means the container is certified to ship overseas carrying goods, and has been doing so for several years.These containers range from 10-15 years old and have normal wear and tear, such as dents and rust.

Q: How much is delivery?

A: Delivery rates are calculated based on mileage from the Glendale location. There is a $350 flat fee for local delivery and $4 per mile following that. There is also a fuel surcharge fee for anything over 35 miles from the Glendale location. If there is a dirt road over two miles, an additional fee of $100 is applied.

Q: Can we make a tiny home?  

A: At this time, we do not build tiny homes; however, we can assist in providing the container as well as metal framework for your build. We do not offer permitting or engineering plans for tiny homes. If you have blueprints and would like us to create something from there we may be able to collaborate with your contractor.

Q: Can we stack containers on delivery? 

A: We can not stack containers on delivery unless there is a forklift on site.

Q: How does rent to own work? 

A: Rent to own is funded through My Container Rentals and allows our customers to sign up for payment plans between 12 and 48 months. Once the payment plan is completed, the customer owns the container. There is a 33% discount for paying off the container early. Interest rates are determined by My Container Rental. My Container Rental approves or denies the application, there is no credit check required for the initial quote. To submit a rent to own quote please go HERE.

Q: Can I pick out what container I want? 

A: Absolutely! You are more than welcome to pick out the container you'd like after purchasing. Should you choose to visit the yard to pick one, please be advised we are by appointment only. Once your appointment is booked you will be required to where close-toed shoes on the property as well as a vest, hard-hat and safety glasses, the latter of which will be provided for you. No children are allowed on site and parties can be no greater than three.

Q: What are container canopy's? 

A: Container canopy's are shaded structures that can be fitted on top of two or three containers providing a shaded area that can be used to work or store additional items. Our canopy's have a 10 year tarp warranty and are engineered to cycle a 50 year lifespan. They are made our of galvanised steel. Container canopy's can be purchased outright and shipped nationwide or we can install them for an additional fee.

Q: How do I pay?

A: We accept cash, cashiers check, wire, Zelle, ACH or card (3% surcharge applies). All payments must be made in full prior to delivery. 

​

Q: What kind of modifications can I get?

A: We can add several things to your container, including: paint job, man-door, roll-up door, A/C Frame, window, lock box, Louvre vent or skylights. Ask our sales team to learn more.
